Our Programs:
Kids In The Middle
Southern Alberta United Way is providing children a safe place to meet and openly express questions, concerns, and share experiences as they navigate parent separation and divorce.
This is a fun 6-week program offered in a group format, which helps children process their feelings, and give them more tools to communicate effectively.
For children between 8-12 years of age.
Teen Support Group
Open discussion among peers
Topics of discussion include: depression & anxiety, boundaries & consent, bullying & harassment, healthy relationships, gender identity & self-esteem, resiliency & coping.
Runs on the second Wednesday of the month from 4-5pm.
For teens 10-18 years of age. Parent consent is required.
Wellbeing Workshop

Educational group for people 50+
An open forum, providing an environment that encompasses life long learning, while promoting personal well-being, and the chance to connect with old friends and make new ones!
The topics are driven by the groups needs. If you have ideas, we can add the topic. Some topics included are grief & loss, relationships, boundaries, and dating after loss.
Repairing Your Relationship
This program helps couples strengthen their connection and navigate challenges together.
Topics include communication and conflict, finances, intimacy, and other common relationship concerns. This group provides a supportive space to share experiences, learn practical strategies, and work toward a healthier partnership.
Held on the first Tuesday of each month from 5:30-7:30pm in the Honor-Currie boardroom @ the Medicine Hat Public Library.
Next Gen Connections
Inclusive group to build friendships!
This group provides the atmosphere to build authentic friendships that are not centered around drinking or intimate connections. Want that person to just call a friend? Come join our group!
Group for individuals 18-25 years of age.
Group runs every 2nd Monday of the month from 5-7pm and every 3rd Monday of the month from 3-5pm @ Kickstand
Infertility, Pregnancy and Infant Loss
Creating a welcoming, non-judgmental, safe space for all individuals who have experienced infertility and/or pregnancy loss and/or infant loss.
A space created to develop open discussion and peer support, led by participants with assistance from professionals.
Held on the last Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30pm in the Legion boardroom @ the Medicine Hat Public Library.
